Jeff Hurtgen
Pastor
Upon moving from Louisville with their four school-aged children in 1995, Jeff and Mary joined Calvary. Before coming to Calvary, Jeff had served in several other churches as an instrumentalist, the worship leader and as Deacon. Jeff was saved as part of the “Jesus Movement” revival of the 1970’s. He has served Calvary as the worship leader, a Deacon, and a four-year period as the interim pastor. Jeff graduated from the University of Louisville in 1995 and is completing his M-Div. degree at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville. Three of Jeff and Mary’s children are married and have given them seven grandchildren. Jeff’s favorite Scripture is Philippians 1:21, where Paul declares, “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.”
